FOUR NEW HOSPITALS WILL BE MADE OPERATIONAL BY MARCH NEXT YEAR – CM

Panaji, December 11, 2012 …. Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar has announced that by March next year four new Hospitals will be made operational to bumper ride in goa cater to the health care needs of the people of Goa.  These Hospitals he said, includes new Hospital at Ponda and Sanquelim which will be inaugurated on Liberation Day i.e. December 19, 2012 and subsequently new Hospitals at Bicholim and Valpoi will be opened in January and March next year.

The Chief Minister made this statement after inaugurating the first ever Football Development Centre started by Goa Football Development Council at Valpoi in Sattari taluka yesterday.

The Chief Minister said his Government will pay attention for  development of Valpoi on par with Panaji City.  Besides the New Hospital at Valpoi the work of two major projects in the area New Market Complex and Bus stand will be expedited he said and highlighted the need to identify talent in football from rural areas.

Stressing the need to produce talented Footballers the Chief Minister said the establishment of Football Development Centre will help to develop football skills among the budding footballers from Valpoi and its surrounding areas.

The Chief Minister who felicitated some former footballers from Valpoi areas on the occasion said that he was happy that the first Football Development Centre was started in Valpoi.  He further stressed for imparting proper coaching in football for rural youth and also provide them balanced diet for healthy physique.

Dr. Rufin Monteiro, Chairman GFDC spoke on the occasion.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Shri Narhari Haldankar, Ex-MLA, Mr.Ishmeet Singh, Business Head, Maharastra and Goa, Mr. Mustufa Aga Football Centre Head Valpoi and Headmaster United High School and Mr. Shaikh Sulaman Karol, Chairman Unity High School, Valpoi.

Earlier Shri Elvis Gomes, Member Secretary of GFDC welcomed Femida Khan proposed the vote of thanks.
