IFFI51 TO PAY TRIBUTE TO NETAJI SUBHAS CHANDRA BOSE ON HIS 125TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY FOR HIS UNPARALLELED CONTRIBUTION TO THE COUNTRY

Panjim, 21st January 2021 ::: Asia’s oldest and India’s biggest festival, the International Film Festival of India will pay tribute tothe great freedom fighter and founder of Azad Hind FaujNetajiSubhas Chandra Bose on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary on 23rd January, 2021.

In Netaji’shonour, the movie ‘NetajiSubhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero’ by ShyamBenegalwill be screened during the festival.

“Netajiremains one of the most beloved national heroes and an icon of India’s freedom struggle.The screening of the movie has been scheduled tohonour and remember NetajiSubhas Chandra Bose’s indomitable personality and selfless service to the nation. On the 125th birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter, we fondly remember Netaji’s unparalleled contribution to the country,” said Chaitanya Prasad, IFFI Director.

India’s formidable freedom fighter, who said “Tum mujhekhoon do, maitumheazadidunga” (Give me blood and I will give you freedom), was a man of action.In the fight against the British rule, he called upon the youth of the country to come together and fight for Independence. He led the youth wing of the Indian National Congress in the late 1920s and later became the president of the party in 1938.

Netaji’slegacy remains immortal and continues to inspire millions even today.
