The Governor of Goa, Mrs. Mridula Sinha, presided over a ceremony at Raj Bhawan, where Sara Wadhwa, a budding 17year old photographer, presented a cheque of Rs.1,48,000/- through Uday Rural Education Programme, a charity that is dedicated to the upliftment of schools in rural India, in collaboration with The Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-town,to the Gujrati Samaj Educational Society, Goa.Марши лестниц
The funds were raised by Sara Wadhwa, through the sale of her photographs at her solo exhibition, ‘Cynosure’, held at IHC, Delhi. She has dedicated these funds towards the construction of a speech therapy room and doctor’s room for special needs children in the new building to be launched next year by Gujarati Samaj.
Sara, an avid photographer, is a student of Class 12 at DPS, RK Puram, New Delhi. Her next solo photo exhibition, ‘Delhi Dawns,’ will be run for the entire month of December at IHC, Delhi.
Uday REP has completed several projects in Goa in association with the Rotary Club, and is in the process of fund raising for many other similar projects.”
