STATE COMMITTEE SHOULD DECIDE ON ACTIVE TRACKERS: AGNELO

Margao:  October 28, 2018 … The Advisory Committee meeting under the PC-PNDT Act, South  Goa District  chaired by Additional Collector, Shri Agnelo Fernandes deliberating on the proposal of installing Active Trackers to monitor ultrasound machines felt that the matter needs to be decided by the State Level Committee.

 Shri Fernandes echoed with the observations of the Committee that the matter being a policy decision, should be presented at the State Level Committee by giving a presentation of its functioning, advantages and other aspects to understand the whole concept before coming to a conclusion of implementing it. 

 The District Level Committee maintained that the Inspection and Monitoring Committee regularly conducts inspections and surprise visits to all the clinics registered with the District apart from verifying the Form F that are submitted online with the records in the respective hospitals/clinics every quarter.  The Committee has also not across any violations of PC-PNDT rules in the district.

 In the meeting various applications with respect to granting of fresh registration, renewals of certificates, etc were considered after ensuring the compliance of due process.  The form F of the last two months submitted by all the registered hospitals/clinics was also monitored by the committee.

 Radiologists, Hospicio Hospital, Dr. Mohan Dhond; Gynecologist, Hospicio Hospital, Dr. Meenakshi Panandikar, Mamlatdar in Collectorate, Shri Jeetendra Bugde and Assistant Information Officer, Shri Allwyn Pereira  were the members of Advisory Committee who attended the meeting.
