05/08/2015 … The state police department have written the officials of untied state for seeking more details in to the Louis Berger bribery case but has denied of stating if any more arrests would be made in the case …

This was disclosed to the media by director general of police t n mohan who said that the state police was investigating in to every angle of the jica issue and were moving in to the right track and more arrest could depend on the amount of evidence his officials could gather in to the case

Mr mohan said that if the state government were interested to hand over the case to cbi then it could be handed over to them as there were international ramifications also involved in the case

Mr mohan also informed about the state police officials writing to u s officials for getting more details in to the investigation of the case

09/09/2014 …  In a way to avoid the number of deaths taking place through two wheeler accidents the State transport minister sudhin dhavlikar on Monday said that the state transport department would construct a special 8 km long lane for motor cyclist riders which would be a a distance of three meters in the decided four lane highway coming up from old goa to panaji ….

Speaking to media reporters on the sidelines of the 4th road safety week function mr dhavlikar said that the state government had decided to have all state national highways as four lanes and in that the national highway road from old goa to panaji would have a special three meters motorcyclist lane only for two wheelers …

Dhavlikar said the project would cost an amount of 103 crores which would be spent by the state government and were trying to complete the work by six months of time

Meanwhile commenting over the helmet rule to be in force from October 1st transport director arun dessai said that in no way the rule would be change and the transport department would also act firmly on those selling illegal helmets along the state roads which was becoming road hazards day by day …

 PANAJI PS: Complaint on behalf of the State that on 11.09.2014 at about 18.30 hrs., at Kingfisher circle-Panaji accused person Dharmanand s/o Raeye Salgaonkar, age- 24 yrs., r/o Mala- Panaji rider of  Bullet M/Cycle No.GA-05-C-0822, rode the same in a rash and negligent manner  while proceeding  from Betim to Panaji via Old Mandovi bridge and when reached at Kingfisher circle-KTC Bus Stand-Panaji gave  dash to  Honda Activa Scooter  No.GA-03-Q-9892 due to which pillion rider of said Bullet M/cycle  namely Savio s/o Leo Borges, r/o Betim sustained injury to his left shoulder. Cr.No.371/14 u/s 279, 337 IPC stands registered. HC- Ulhas Khot is I.O.

2) Shri Prakash Gangaram Naik r/o Indiranagar-Chimbel complained that on 19.09.2014 at 17.30 hrs at Miramar Circle-Panaji accused person Mallik full name not known approached the complainant and assaulted him with fist blows on his mouth causing dislocation teeth of the complainant. Cr.No.372/14 u/s 325 IPC stands registered. HC- Ulhas Khot is I.O.

PERNEM PS: Shri Dhanaji s/o Appa Patil r/o Varchawada-Arambol complained that on 17.09.2014 at 20.00 hrs. to 18.09.2014 at 06.00 hrs., some unknown accused person committed theft of his Dio Scooter no. GA03-0204 W/rs. 35,000/- and also stole away pulsar M/Cycle no.GA-11-B-6500 W/rs.90,000/- belongs to Akshay Thakur which was parked in an open parking place. PONDA PS: Shri Shivdas s/o Venkatesh Naik Raikar r/o behind St. Cruz church-Panaji complained that in the month of June-2014 at TNK at Pandegal-Shiroda accused person Vikram s/o Dharma Gosavi r/o Pandegal-Shiroda who was staying in the part house of the complainant, locked the gate & main door of the complainant and committed theft of household article W/rs.1,00,000/- approx. accused arrested.           Shri Raymond s/o Peter Conceico, 28yrs r/o H.No. 257 near St. Peters Chapel Donapaula complained that on 06.04.2015 at 16.00 hrs at behind Hotel Swimsea, Caranzalem Panaji accused person Michael s/o Saggy Nadan, r/o Teachers Colony Miramar n/o Banglore, Karnataka, assaulted him with fist blows on the nose thereby causing him grievous injuries.

          Accused Michael s/o Saggy Nadan has been arrested.

         2) Agacaim P.S. Cr .No.29/2015 U/s 454, 457, 380 IPC

          Shri Vithoba s/o Rangan Shekar, r/o Cujira Bhat, Santan complained that in between 02.04.2015 at 13.30hrs to06.04.2015 at 06.45hrs unknown persons effected entry into his house by breaking the latch of rear door and thereafter force opened the kitchen door & stole gold ornaments such as gold mangalsutra, chain, gold ring, gold ear rings, one diamond ring & cash Rs. 5000/- all W/Rs. 1,90,000/-.

3) Mapusa P.S. Cr .No.105/2015 U/s 356, 379 R/w 34 IPC

          Mrs. Trupti w/o Tukaram Parsekar, r/o Cuchelim, Mapusa, complained that on 06.04.2015 at about 10.00hrs at Holy Cross High School, Sodiem, Siolim, Goa unknown accused male rider aged about 30yrs, with white colour Scooter having registration number last digit with 4, with their common intention snatched away her gold mangalsutra weighing about 40 grams from around her neck.

That on 06.04.15  at 12.54 hrs, registered an offence upon the complaint of Mr. Devendra s/o Sushila Poinguinkar r/o Welvaddo,  Poinguinim, that on 05.04.15 between 19.00 hrs to 22.45 hrs, opposite Mamlatdar Office, Canacona, unknown person/s committed theft of bag by breaking the glass of Car Reg. No. GA-10-A-0216, belongs to the complainant, containing (1) Cash of Rs.500/- (2) Office I.D. Card (3) Donation Coupon book (4) Tiffin Box and (5) Pass book of Poinguinim Co-Op. Bank.  Further investigation is in progress.

2.            Canacona PS Cr. No.32/15 u/s 504,506(ii),324 r/w 34 IPC

That on 06.04.15  at 20.04 hrs, registered an offence upon the complaint of Mr. Laxman Kutal r/o Moditolop, Canacona, that on 05.04.15 at 15.30 hrs, accused persons namely (1) Alex Corte and (2) Agnelo Corte, full details not known, with their common intention abused the complainant in filthy language, threatened with dire consequences and assaulted with wooden danda, thereby causing injuries.  Further investigation is in progress.

3.      Vasco PS Cr. No. 46/15 u/s 452, 323, 504, 506, 427 IPC

That on 06.04.2015 at 12.35 hrs. Registered an offence upon the complaint of Smt. Ratna Balkrishnan, r/o Fodiem ward, next to Bogmalo Church, Vasco that on 05.04.2015 at about 19.00 hrs., at Fodiem ward, Bogmalo, accused person namely Jacinto Miranda, r/o Bogmalo, Vasco criminally trespassed into her house and pushed her, abused in filthy languages, threatened with dire consequences on account of previous enmity. Damaged the door and electric Penal thereby causing loss to the tunes of  Rs.5,000/-. Further investigation is in progress.

4.      Margao Town PS Cr. No. 128/15 u/s 379 IPC

That on 06.04.2015 at 18.10 hrs. registered an offence upon the complaint of Shri Maruti s/o Thako Katkar, r/o Narayan Appartment, Gawliwado, Fatorda, Margao, that on 30.11.2014 between 01.00 hrs. to 06.30 hrs., at Narayan Appartment, Gawliwado, Fatorda, Margao, unknown accused person committed theft of Honda Unicon M/cycle bearing registration No.GA-08-H-3676, Chassis No. ME4KC098D78011269, Engine No. KC09E4011277, W/Rs. 19,500/- approximately, which was parked in an open place. 5.      Maina Curtorim PS Cr. No. 42/15 u/s 435 IPC

That on 06.04.2015 at 18.35 hrs. registered an offence upon the complaint of  Mr. Dipesh s/o Raya Naik, r/o Govt. Colony, Manora, Raia, Salcete, that on 06.04.2015 between 00.00 hrs. to 00.15 hrs. at Manora Raia, accused person namely Mr. Welington Misquita, r/o Govt. Colony, Manora Raia, Salcete, Goa, set fire to his Alto 800 LXI car bearing registration No. GA-08-K-6911, which was parked in front of his house, thereby caused loss of Rs. 50,000/-. Further investigation is in progress. 

6.      Maina Curtorim PS Cr. No. 43/15 u/s 323, 324, 356, 379, 427 r/w 34 IPC and Sec. 8 of GCA and Sec. 3, 7 and 25 of Arms Act.

That on 06.04.2015 at 23.45 hrs., registered an offence upon the complaint of Mr. Nevis Vaz, s/o Thomas Vaz, r/o H.No. 64/C, Barebhat, Arlem, Salcete, Goa, that on 06.04.2015 at 16.20 hrs. at Barebhat, Arlem, Salcete, Goa, accused person namely Seby Ferro and his brother Savio Ferrao, both r/o Barebhat, Arlem, with their common intention over previous enmity assaulted him with slaps on his face and thereafter also caused inflicted injury with a small sized sword on the right leg of his minor son namely Wilpencer Vaz, aged 17 yrs., causing simple injuries and further assaulted his cousin brothers namely Jose Dias and Francisco Dias and Mrs. Qeteria Dias, w/o Jose Dias and snatched away gold chain weighing 11 Libras (Value not known) from the neck of Francisco Dias and in furtherence accused Savio Ferrao threw a big cemented stone on the front main door of Mr. Jose Dias house causing damaged to the tune of Rs. 20,000/-. Further investigation is in progress.

The state transport department in association with yes bank held its 4th road safety week programme at the salgaocar college of law at Miramar …

Present on the occasion were chief guest and transport minister sudhin dhavlikar, transport director arun dessai, sp traffic arvind gawas, former director of transport servo Fernandes, and other dignitaries

With a theme use your head, wear helmet, wear if you can the 4th road safety week would start from 8th of September this month up to 13th of September where in various programmes on educating goans for using helmets and giving safety driving norms would be taken up by the officials of the state transport department …

Speaking on the occasion chief guest of the function and transport minister sudhin dhavlikar said that it was every citizens duty to make people aware of following rules while riding or driving which could help the transport department in tacking the accidents scenario in the state

Stating that goa was the only state to celebrate road safety week Director of transport arun dessai said that number of accidents occurred in the state were due to riders not wearing helmets where as wearing of helmets was a necessity as helmets could reduce chances of 70% of head injuries

PANAJI PS: Complaint on behalf of the State that on 15.07.2014 at 07.20 hrs., at Divja Circle Junction-Panaji, accused person Gauri d/o Sanjot Borkar r/o Miramar-Panaji driver of  Zen Estilo Car No. GA-03-H-7510 drove the same in rash and negligent  manner  while  proceeding  from new patto bridge-Panaji  towards KTC Bus stand-Panaji and when reached at Divja Circle Junction-Panaji dashed to Passion M/cycle No.GA-05-H-2518 which was proceeding from Ribandar towards Old Mandovi bridge causing  sustained  injury  to the right leg of the rider namely Selisio s/o Anthonio Saldana r/o Marcela. Cr.No.293/14 u/s 279, 337 IPC is registered. HC-S. Priolkar is I.O.

OLD GOA PS: Shri Dattacharan Powar r/o Near Govekar Bar-Merces complained that on 18.07.2014 at 10.30 hrs. Near Govekar Bar-Merces some unknown culprit/s committed of his Hero Honda Splendor plus M/Cycle No. MH-09-BG-3778 W/rs.30,000/- which was parked in an open parking place near his residence. PONDA PS: Minor victim girl complained that in the year 2013 accused person Atmaram Kudchadkar passed sexual colored remark on the complainant and her classmate in the office of the accused person & further uttered a bed words while the complainant & her classmate were redressing the grievances of theft on money purse in the class room.
