This was disclosed to the media by director general of police t n mohan who said that the state police was investigating in to every angle of the jica issue and were moving in to the right track and more arrest could depend on the amount of evidence his officials could gather in to the case

Mr mohan said that if the state government were interested to hand over the case to cbi then it could be handed over to them as there were international ramifications also involved in the case

Mr mohan also informed about the state police officials writing to u s officials for getting more details in to the investigation of the case

state transport department to construct special 8 km long lane for motor cyclist riders on four lane highway coming up from old goa to panaji

09/09/2014 …  In a way to avoid the number of deaths taking place through two wheeler accidents the State transport minister sudhin dhavlikar on Monday said that the state transport department would construct a special 8 km long lane for motor cyclist riders which would be a a distance of three meters in the decided four lane highway coming up from old goa to panaji ….

Speaking to media reporters on the sidelines of the 4th road safety week function mr dhavlikar said that the state government had decided to have all state national highways as four lanes and in that the national highway road from old goa to panaji would have a special three meters motorcyclist lane only for two wheelers …

Dhavlikar said the project would cost an amount of 103 crores which would be spent by the state government and were trying to complete the work by six months of time

Meanwhile commenting over the helmet rule to be in force from October 1st transport director arun dessai said that in no way the rule would be change and the transport department would also act firmly on those selling illegal helmets along the state roads which was becoming road hazards day by day …

According to him, they had earlier planned a tribute to the director at the festival, but will now pay a homage to him.

   PANAJI PS:Mr. Shivanand Vishwanath Sheleker R/O Porvorim lodged his complaint to the effect that on 22.11.2012 TNK 1) Sunil D’Souza and 2) Pravin Bhair who claimed to be the representatives of Reliance communication under the pretext to install direct house TV reception induced him to give  two cheques of Rs. 47/- and 29/- respectively in forms of Reliance  communication and while doing this, accused person diverted his attention by asking him to bring the PAN card and photograph and committed the theft of two cheques bearing No. 812925 and 812928 from the said cheque book and withdrawn the cash of    Rs. 46000/- and 11,000/- respectively. CR. No. 00/13 is registered u/s 465,468,380,420IPC and further forwarded to PI Porvorim for investigation.

2) Shri Jivandas Ingle, Asst. P. F .Commissioner complained to the effect that on 06.01.2013 at 19.20 hrs, near Sharada Mandir at Miramar, driver of vehicle No. GA-07-K-9699 (Name address not known) abused him and his brother in law Dr. Kunal Sonavane with filthy and insulting language. During the scuffle, accused driver snatched his gold chain weighing 20 gms, and insulted the modesty of his wife. CR. No. 15/13 u/s 30-7,392,323,504,506,427 IPC stands registered. Health Camp organized at Porvorim Police Station by Goa Ayurvedic Hospital, Margao

05/08/2014 … The Goa Ayurvedic Hospital, Margao organized ‘Health Camp for Diabetes check’ at Porvorim Police Station on 31st July & 2nd August 2014. Around 110 Police personnel and staff were tested for diabetes. SP North, Priyanka Kashyap, IPS was present during the camp.

That on 06.04.2015 at 12.35 hrs. Registered an offence upon the complaint of Smt. Ratna Balkrishnan, r/o Fodiem ward, next to Bogmalo Church, Vasco that on 05.04.2015 at about 19.00 hrs., at Fodiem ward, Bogmalo, accused person namely Jacinto Miranda, r/o Bogmalo, Vasco criminally trespassed into her house and pushed her, abused in filthy languages, threatened with dire consequences on account of previous enmity. Damaged the door and electric Penal thereby causing loss to the tunes of  Rs.5,000/-. Further investigation is in progress.

That on 06.04.2015 at 23.45 hrs., registered an offence upon the complaint of Mr. Nevis Vaz, s/o Thomas Vaz, r/o H.No. 64/C, Barebhat, Arlem, Salcete, Goa, that on 06.04.2015 at 16.20 hrs. at Barebhat, Arlem, Salcete, Goa, accused person namely Seby Ferro and his brother Savio Ferrao, both r/o Barebhat, Arlem, with their common intention over previous enmity assaulted him with slaps on his face and thereafter also caused inflicted injury with a small sized sword on the right leg of his minor son namely Wilpencer Vaz, aged 17 yrs., causing simple injuries and further assaulted his cousin brothers namely Jose Dias and Francisco Dias and Mrs. Qeteria Dias, w/o Jose Dias and snatched away gold chain weighing 11 Libras (Value not known) from the neck of Francisco Dias and in furtherence accused Savio Ferrao threw a big cemented stone on the front main door of Mr. Jose Dias house causing damaged to the tune of Rs. 20,000/-. 4th road safety week programme held at the salgaocar college of law at Miramar

The state transport department in association with yes bank held its 4th road safety week programme at the salgaocar college of law at Miramar …

Present on the occasion were chief guest and transport minister sudhin dhavlikar, transport director arun dessai, sp traffic arvind gawas, former director of transport servo Fernandes, and other dignitaries

With a theme use your head, wear helmet, wear if you can the 4th road safety week would start from 8th of September this month up to 13th of September where in various programmes on educating goans for using helmets and giving safety driving norms would be taken up by the officials of the state transport department …

Speaking on the occasion chief guest of the function and transport minister sudhin dhavlikar said that it was every citizens duty to make people aware of following rules while riding or driving which could help the transport department in tacking the accidents scenario in the state

Stating that goa was the only state to celebrate road safety week Director of transport arun dessai said that number of accidents occurred in the state were due to riders not wearing helmets where as wearing of helmets was a necessity as helmets could reduce chances of 70% of head injuries
