Goan Reporter: CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Lays Foundation Stone for Construction of Government Office Complex Building at Bicholim

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod P. Sawant laid the foundation Stone for Construction of Government Office Complex building at Bicholim today. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.57.33 Crores.

Others who graced the foundation laying ceremony were MLA, Bicholim and Chairman, Goa Infotech Corporation Dr. Chandrakant P. Shetye, MLA, Mayem, Chairman, GSHCL  Shri. Premendra V. Shet, Former MLA and Speaker  Shri. Rajesh Patnekar, Chairperson, Bicholim Municipal Council Shri. Vijaykumar Natekar, IAS, North Goa Collector Yashaswini B, Dy. Collector Bicholim  Shri Nehal Talaunekar, President, North Goa Zilla Panchayat Shri Shankar Chodankar and Managing Director GSIDC Shri Harish Adconkar.

Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Minister reiterated the vision of the state Government, to make Goa a progressive state over the next  25 years, in a bid to revamp the administration, make it more responsive to the people’s needs, ensure effective functioning and well planned development.

The entire Government machinery has started working in that direction to see that no stone is left unturned to accomplish the desired goal of Vikasit Bharat, said the Chief Minister.

Speaking on online e-Services, the Chief Minister said that the Goa Online e-Services Portal is made available to provide citizens a single window to access various Government services at any time without visiting any Government office. Chief Minister informed 211 services are made available online in the state of Goa. He appealed to take advantage of such e services of the Government.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, said this will be a unique project in Bicholim taluka which will cater to all the demands of people in Bicholim taluka.

Shri Shetye informed about the various facilities that will be available in the project. He said facilities such as Stilt floor for Parking 94 vehicles besides service utilities. This building will have four floors including Kala Bhavan on the fourth floor.

Shri. Premendra V. Shet, MLA spoke on the occasion and said Government must think of starting Kala Bhavan on  the lines of Ravindra Bhavan on priority in new complex at Bicholim.
