Margao Sports Club dominated Carmona Sports Club with a resounding 6-0 victory to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the 17th St. Anthony Festival Cup 2025, organised by St. Anthony Sports Club Assolda and played at Moll Ground, Assolda on Monday. The rain-soaked match saw Margao take the lead in the 16th minute through Alfred Noronha’s header. Despite tough weather conditions, Margao controlled the second half with Hansel Furtado scoring a stunning hat-trick (33’, 35’, 46’), while Clencio Pinto and Sarineo Fernandes added to the tally. Hansel Furtado was named Man of the Match, receiving the award from Custodio Fernandes, Sarpanch of VP Assolda.
