Youth Club of Shiroda defeated Curtorim Gymkhana 2-1 to secure a place in the semifinals of the 33rd Arlem Rolling Trophy inter-village football tournament played at the Raia Panchayat ground on Friday. Shiroda struck early with goals from Roston Vaz and Preston Rego in the 12th and 15th minutes respectively. Curtorim Gymkhana reduced the margin through a 59th-minute goal by Versly Paes.
Royston Vaz of Youth Club of Shiroda was awarded Man of the Match, presented by Joel Colaco.
