St Anthony SC Assolda secured a spot in the semifinals of the 33rd Arlem Rolling Trophy Inter-Village Football Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Carmona SC at the Raia Panchayat ground on Thursday.
Sunny Fernandes gave Assolda the lead in the 6th minute. Carmona’s Yuri came close to equalizing in the 10th minute but missed narrowly. In the second half, Fernandes scored again in the 47th minute to double the lead. Alreach Piexito added the third goal for Assolda in the 50th minute.
Carmona pulled one back through Edwin Afonso in the 56th minute, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
Alreach Piexito of St Anthony SC Assolda was awarded the Man of the Match by Jerome Colaco.
