Parsekar was speaking at the at the 5th State Convention of Gomantak Bal Shikshan Parishad organised by the Grameen Kala And Sanskritik Sanstha, Valpoi in association with Directorate of Official Language at Valpoi in Sattari

Speaking further Shri Parsekar said Teachers should devote themselves and impart knowledge in accordance with the changing times to make the children happy by creating an environment of happiness so as to bring satisfaction in imparting education.

Shri Parsekar said that Goa has progressed immensely in the field of education and said the Government can achieve accelerate the pace of development in the educational sector if the opposition joins hands, he observed.

Earlier the State had to hire the services of professionals from neighbouring states he pointed and added that a teacher has to be a teacher for 24 hours and a teacher should not retire in his profession.

President of 5th State Convention of Gomantak Bal Shikshan Parishad and Opposition Leader, Shri Pratapsingh Rane in his welcome address urged teachers and parent to impart knowledge to children by considering their liking to learn as per their choice and thus interest in one’s education.

State Award winning teachers Smt Kashi Naik and Shri Bhalchandra Bhave were felicitated at the hands of Chief Minister.

Dr. Pandurang Nadkarni gave a brief report of the convention.
