state tourism department ask organizers of sunburn and VH1 supersonic to resolve their issue of respective event dates conflicting with each other

25/10/2014 … The state tourism department has received proposal from the organizers of sunburn as well as from supersonic which would be put before the committee members of single window system and then only the event would be finalized once proper dates are drawn said tourism minister dilip parulekar

It may be noted that Sunburn one of the Electronic and Dance Music festivals in India, has been held in the state of goa for the past few years being held in December every year and this year it would be held on 27, 28th and 29th of December at vagator

While Vh1 Supersonic that began last year would continue to enthrall audiences this year too with world renowned artists and many more turning up on Candolim beach in Goa from 27-30 December 2014.

Speaking to goanreporter tourism minister dilip parulkear said that the single window system committee had received the application from both the organizers who had in-turn asked the organizers as not to have a conflict over the event dates and resolve it between them as soon as possible

Parulekar said that the tourism department had also received a proposal of hosting a kite festival in the state which the state government was trying to do so as to increase the revenue of the state through tourism activities …

Parulekar also stated that the state government was trying to develop infrastructure facilities in the tourism belt so as to make tourism area free from traffic congestion …
