January 9, 2013 …. The Goa Police Department today issued promotion order of 655 personnel to the rank of head Constable. Total 426 Ad-hoc Head Constables have been regularized and 229 Police Constable have been newly promoted to the rank of head Constable on regular basis.
The State Government had recently created 251 posts of Head Constables. This is the first time in the history of Police department, whereby such a large number of Police Constables have been promoted to the rank of Head Constables.
