The Goa State Fire Force Training Centre is the Regional Training Centre for National Fire Service College, Nagpur, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, imparts training for Trainee Sub-Officers deputed from National Fire Service College, Nagpur. In the past,; the Department has conducted 08 nos. of Sub-Officers training batches and trained 243 nos. of Sub-Officers of External Sub-Officer Course. The department has also conducted Industrial Visit of 61 nos. of Trainee Officers of Divisional Officers Course and 40 nos. of Trainee Officers of Station Officer and Instructors’ Course at this Regional Training Centre.
Recently, the Department has facilitated conduct of training for the 48th External Sub-Officers Course at the Goa Regional Training Centre wherein 29 trainees from various states such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi and Haryana were deputed at Regional Training Centre, Goa for undergoing training w.e.f July 25, 2022.
During the 5 month of training, the trainees were subjected to Theoretical and Practical Training on various topics of Fire Prevention and Protection Measures such as Fixed Fire Fighting Installation, Building Construction, Means of Escape, Air Craft Rescue, Basic Physics And Chemistry, Special Services, Electricity, Small & Special Gears, Water Tender, Fire Service Administration, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Hydraulics, Hydrant & Fittings, Practical Firemanship, Watchroom Procedure and Mobilizing, Ropes & Lines, Salvage, Water Relay, Fire Service House, Hose Fittings, Pump & Pump Operation, Breathing Apparatus Set, Ladder, Rural Fire, First Aid & Ambulance Aid, Resuscitation and Ship Fire.

Raiker, Director, Fire & Emergency Services congratulated the trainee sub-officer of 48th External Sub-Officer Course during valedictory function for successfully completing the course. Amongst other present were Shri. Shri. Rajendra Haldankar, Divisional Officer, Shri. Bosco Ferrao, Station Fire Officer (addl. charge Asst. Divisional Officer, North Zone Panaji), Station Fire Officer’s, Sub- Officer’s and trainers of Goa State Fire Force Training Centre.
