Goan Reporter News: CM Dr Pramod Sawant greets people on the occasion of Gudi Padwa

Joining the people in celebrating Gudi Padwa or ‘Padvo’ in the State, Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant wished the people a very happy festival. Highlighting the significance of the occasion, he said the day marks the beginning of the New Year in the Hindu calendar. “This occasion celebrates the beginning of the spring season and spring symbolises life and the start of all things joyful. May the beauty of this festive spirit fill your hearts with peace, joy and love.

On this day, people raise a ‘Gudi’ atop their houses as a symbol of welcoming good into their homes.  Dr Sawant said that the festival is a happy moment for all and is an invitation to start something fresh and new.

The Chief Minister further hoped that the New Year brings prosperity and peace to all people and urged everyone to work in a spirit of cooperation.
