The Sangodd festival is celebrated in South Goa villages such as Banda, Ambelim, Tari Waddo, Assolna, and Cutbona, Velim. Depending on the tide, decorated boats—often two professional fishing vessels—set sail into the River Sal as part of the celebration, blending prayer with maritime tradition. At Tarrivado Passagem in Assolna, Fr. Romeo Godinho, Parish Priest of Assolna Church, blessed the nets and canoes in the presence of Fr. Myron Noronha and others.
