Goan Reporter: MLA Carlos Ferreira Slams Escheats Act; CM Objects to Land Grab Remarks

Congress MLA Carlos Ferreira criticized the Goa Escheats, Forfeiture and Bona Vacantia Act, 2024, during a Calling Attention Motion, labeling it “misleading” and alleging it enables “official land grab.” Chief Minister Pramod Sawant objected to the term and requested the Speaker to remove the remark from the Assembly records.
