Goan Reporter::DEO NORTH CONDUCTS MEETING ON RATIONALIZATION OF POLLING STATIONS

Panaji: November 21, 2025::Collector & District Election Officer, North conducted a meeting with the representatives of recognized political parties to discuss and finalize the proposals for rationalization of polling stations in the North Goa District. During the meeting, the Collector informed the members that  proposals for rationalization of polling stations has been received from the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) of 01-Mandrem, 04-Tivim, 07-Saligao, 08-Calangute, 09-Porvorim, 13- St. Cruz and 15-Cumbarjua Assembly Constituencies. The proposals were placed before the members for discussion and same were finalized. The Collector also deliberated on the appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLA-1 and BLA-II), stressing the importance of all political parties ensuring timely appointment of BLAs during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Further, the Collector apprised about the progress of digitization of Electoral Forms (EF) and stated that a total of 2,90,590 forms has been digitized as on November 20, 2025 till 10:00 a.m. The  Collector also requested the representatives of politic parties to direct their Booth Level Agents to extend assistance during the Summary Intensive Revision 2026 process so that the process completed in time bound manner.
