Goan REporter:CLOSURE OF ROAD

Panaji: February 6, 2026:Office of the District Magistrate, North Goa has notified traffic Diversion/Closure for Phase-II plan, i.e. closure from P20 near Damian de Goa to P24 near Hyundai Showroom; and closure of road from P55 near O’ Coqueiro Junction to P51 near Dr. Anil D’Silva for the period upto March 19, 2026. The diversion/closure of stretches of roads mentioned in Phase-II will only be undertaken upon completion of Phase-I, i.e. Closure from P16 near ODP Road to P20 near Damian de Goa; and closure from P16 Kadamba Restaurant to P55 near O’Coqueiro Junction. Heavy Vehicles carrying essential commodities will not be able to travel on ODP road from Mapusa side due to steep ascent. Hence, one lane on the existing carriageway will be kept open for all vehicular traffic from proceeding from Mapusa to Panaji.
