Panaji, February 07, 2026 :Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with Shri Atanasio Monserrate, Minister for Labour, Revenue and Waste Management, unveiled the ‘Vigyan Manthan’ logo along with the Headmaster Shri Vishal Gajanan Signapurkar and his team. Vigyan Manthan is an innovative education model designed to connect schools, families, and the community to nurture scientific temper and curiosity. Vigyan Manthan is a comprehensive science outreach programme that integrates hands-on scientific exploration with the Indian Knowledge System (IKS). Implemented at multiple levels—school, family, and community—the initiative is built on three interlinked pillars: Vigyan Setu, Vigyan Khidki, and Vigyan Mahotsav. The programme has been jointly conceptualized, designed, organized, and executed by Shri Vishal Gajanan Signapurkar, Headmaster, along with the staff of Government High School, Merces, and Government High School, Kilarwada–Chimbel, Tiswadi, Goa. Rooted in inquiry, experimentation, and Indian Knowledge Systems, VigyanManthan makes science engaging well beyond the classroom. Vigyan Setu – Connecting Little Minds, the first pillar, is an innovative science outreach initiative implemented across all Government Primary Schools and ApnaGhar institutions in Tiswadi taluka. Vigyan Khidki – Engaging Family Moments, the second pillar, extends science learning into homes. Through a two-way model—either parent-led or student-led—it empowers children to share scientific ideas, conduct simple experiments, and nurture curiosity within families. The ecosystem culminates in the annual Vigyan Mahotsav – Celebrating Community Milestones, a community science festival featuring student-led projects (Vigyan Prerna), perception-challenging demonstrations (Vigyan Chunauti), and Indian Knowledge System–based exhibits.
