Goan Reporter:MoU BETWEEN IPC & GOA STATE PHARMACY COUNCIL

Panaji: February 13, 2026:The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and the Goa State Pharmacy Council (GSPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 10, 2026 at the office of the IPC, Ghaziabad. The MoU has been signed for a period of three years. Dr. V. Kailaiselvan, Secretary-cum-Scientific Director, IPC, signed on behalf of the IPC and Dr. Raj Vaidya, President, GSPC, signed on behalf of the GSPC. Also present were Mr. Mahendra Naik, Executive Member of the GSPC and several other officials of the IPC. The MoU aims to promote the use of the National Formulary of India (NFI) among pharmacists in Goa, strengthen pharmacovigilance activities and enhance patient safety through collaborative training, capacity-building and awareness initiatives. A key focus of the agreement is to facilitate the establishment of NFI as a mandatory reference document in hospital pharmacies across Goa’s public healthcare facilities.
