Captain of Ports Department has directed the vessels and cautioned to keep a sharp lookout, go slow and if necessary stop at safe distance so as not to cause any hindrance during the above period and strictly adhere to the on the spot instructions issued by the patrolling boat stationed at the site.
In view of the river discharge studies carried by Central Water Commission (CWC), Government of India, Captain of Ports Department, Panaji has issued directions to all the barges/ boats operating at Terekhol- Querim, about 100m downstream of Aronda bridge on May 29, 2026; at Zuari – Borim about 200m downstream of borim bridge on Margao route on May 30, 2026; at Chapora – Colvale about 200m upstream of Colvale – Dargal bridge on May 30, 2026 and at Mandovi – Panaji and fisheries jetty on May 28, 2026.
