Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji in collaboration with Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Govt. College, Virnoda, Pernem organized the Lokmanya Tilak Punyatitihi (Patrakar Din) recently.
The programme held at the college, Chief Guest of the function was Shri Rajendra Kerkar noted environmentalist & noted writer along with Principal Shri Joao Costa and Vice Principal Shri Vishnu Vete of Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye college Virnoda, Pernem. Shri Dashrath Parab, Chairman and Shri Ashok Parab, Member Secretary of IMB, Panaji. Dr Neeta Torne, HOD of Marathi Vibhag and Mrs. Priyanka Parab associate Prof. paid floral tribute to the Lokmanya Tilak.
Shri Ashok Parab welcomed the guest on the dais. Three journalists were honored by IMB for their contribution in journalism.
To mark the occasion a Quiz competition was organized for the students and spot prizes were awarded to the students at the hands of the guests. Journalists Shri Ramesh Kolwalkar, Shri Rajesh Parab, (Tarun Bharat) and Shri Rajtilak Naik (Times of India) were felicitated with shawal, shrefal and cash prizes.
The function was attended by the college students, Professors and general public.
