Curtain Raiser Programme for the 4th edition of Bulbul Children’s International Film Festival organised by Department of Information and Publicity at the Conference Hall, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, drew an overwhelming response from school teachers, parents and others.
The programme was held in the presence of Minister for PWD, Shri Digambar Kamat; prominent film producer and actor, Shri Damodar (Damu) G. Naik and Director, Information and Publicity, Shri Abhir Hede.
Minister, Shri Digambar Kamat, has stood as a strong pillar of support, with a commitment to the children and people of Goa. His support reflects the belief that every child deserves opportunities to dream, discover and grow, regardless of their background. Along with the wholehearted support of Shri Damu Naik, this commitment has helped make BCIFF a celebration that brings Goan families and communities together—where children’s happiness, imagination and aspirations take centre stage.
Shri Abhir Hede gave a detailed overview of what will be showcased at the 4th edition of BCIFF, highlighting what everyone, especially children and their parents can look forward at this year’s festival and briefed the gathering in detail about the five-day festival programme. The organising team distributed pamphlets outlining the complete five-day schedule and every attendee received an invitation to the opening ceremony.
The programme also featured an expert talk on “Positivity in Life” by Dr. Vithoba Narayan Mhalkar, Associate Professor at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour and Certified Emotional Intelligence Coach.
The enthusiastic turnout reflected how Bulbul Children’s International Film Festival is bringing communities together, connecting children, parents and teachers through a shared celebration of cinema, creativity and learning.
Information Assistant, Shri Siddhesh Samant proposed vote of thanks.
The 4th edition of the festival will be held from October 12 to 16, 2026, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
