12/06/2014 … With the prime minister of india to make his maiden public visit to goa on Saturday members of the all india trade union congress goa branch on Thursday has hoped of prime minister modi of making statements on resumption of mining activities’ in to the state of goa as soon as possible

Addressing media persons general secretary of aituc goa branch Christopher fonseca said that everyone in the state would like to welcome the prime minister of the county in goa and also hope that mr modi would focus on the key issues of the state and also tell the people of goa as when the mining activities in the state would start

Fonseca said that he had failed to understand as why there was a delay from the state government side to start legal mining activities in goa when the Supreme Court had given full power to the state government to start legal mining with proper guidelines

Fonseca also stated that there should be no politics in the mining issue and it had to resume as early as possible
