Inspired by PM Modi’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, Children Dedicate Saplings with Heartfelt Messages AASRA Orphanage marked Vanamahotsav with a heartfelt tree plantation drive, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to plant “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in the Name of Mother). Children, staff, and volunteers planted saplings on the orphanage campus, each dedicated to their mothers or caregivers. AASRA President Iftikar Shaik said the initiative aims to instill environmental responsibility while reinforcing values of love and gratitude. The event included an awareness session on the environmental benefits of trees and called on the wider community to join such green efforts. “Let us plant a tree, nurture a dream, and honor our mothers—with love and green hope,” the orphanage said in its message.
