Goan Reporter: Curtorim Locals Oppose Mega Project, Question Panchayat’s Role

Curtorim locals have opposed a proposed mega project in the village, stating that it would put additional pressure on existing resources such as water, electricity, and roads. They have also questioned the intentions of the local panchayat and its role in granting permission for the project. In response, MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco said that if there is public opposition, the panchayat has the authority to reject the proposal, provided due procedures are followed.
