Goan Reporter: LoP Yuri Alemao Raises Issue of Nuns’ Arrest in Chhattisgarh; CM Urges Focus on Goa

Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao brought up the arrest of two nuns in Chhattisgarh on alleged false charges of religious conversion. He questioned the treatment of minorities and expressed concern. In response, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant stated that Goa upholds the Uniform Civil Code and assured that minorities in the state are safe. He cautioned against bringing issues from other states into Goa’s political discourse.
