Captain of Ports has informed that in view of the River Discharge studies carried out by CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography. Dona Paula, all vessels are cautioned to keep a sharp lookout, go slow and if necessary stop at safe distance so as not to cause any hindrance and strictly adhere to the on the spot instructions issued by the patrolling boat stationed at the site on the following days:
On May 16 and May 26, 2024 in River Mandovi at Panaji, Fisheries Jetty; on May 17 and May 27, 2024 in River Zuari at Borim about 200m downstream of Borim bridge on Madgaon route; on May 17 and May 27, 2024 on River Chapora at Colvale, about 200m upstream of Colvale-Dargal bridge; and on May 18 and May 28, 2024 on River Terekhol at Querim, about 100m downstream of Aronda bridge.
Violations of the above shall be viewed seriously.
