Goan Reporter News: Constitution has maintained equality and unity: Minister for Fisheries Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar

Stating that the Indian Constitution is supreme, Minister for Fisheries Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar applauded the vibrant Constitution and good Culture of India which has maintained the equality and unity in the society. He was speaking after unfurling the National flag on the occasion of Republic Day celebrated at Pernem today.
The Indian Constitution, Shri Halarnkar said despite of having different caste, creed, religion, community, and various State boundaries from Kashmir to Kannykumari India have remained united standing the test of time. India as a whole have celebrated Pran Pratisthan of Shree Ram Lalla celebration enthusiastically without any discrepancies.  The Constitution alongwith Good Culture of India will take our nation in becoming a super power, he added.
The Indian Constitution has given equal right and power to all the people whether it is rich or poor. He gave an example of President of India, Smt Draupadi Murmu and various citizens of India who have secured top most positions due to the Constitution. He praised Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and his team for taking efforts for drafting such a Constitution of India.
Shri Halarnkar appealed to the teaching fraternity to impart education along with the knowledge of Constitution and Indian Culture to the students.
Emphasising the work of the Double Engine Government, the Minister reiterated Government’s commitment to provide equal development of every village as well as persons in the State. Shri. Halarnkar lauded Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi for bringing various developmental projects to the State. He said the Government has decided to start Veterinary college in the State for the students who presently go outside the State for further studies. He informed that the Government has signed an MOU with TATA to provide better infrastructure and to train ITI students.

He received the guard of honour and inspected parade and March past presented by contingents of Police and students contingents of Schools of Pernem area.
Shri Halarnkar and Shri Pravin Arlekar also attended the Republic Day function celebrated by Pernem Municipal Council at Pernem.
