Goan Reporter News: Directorate of Official Language Invites Applications for Bhasha Puraskar Awards 2022–2025 in Konkani, Marathi and Sanskrit

The Directorate of Official language invites proposals to propose names of Goan language scholars for Bhasha Puraskar Awards for the year 2022-2023, 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 in Konkani, Marathi and Sanskrit languages.

A person of Goan origin residing in Goa and contributed his/her work for propagating language by way of teaching, translation, writing etc. for at least 50 years can apply for the following awards:  a) Durgaram Upadhe Sanskrit Bhasha Puraskar ,  b) Dyanpeeth awardee Ravindra Kelekar Konkani Bhasha Puraskar  and c)  B.D. Satoskar Marathi Bhasha Puraskar.

 The detailed information about the scheme can be obtained from the office of the Directorate of Official language, 1 st lift, 5 th floor, Junta House, Panaji. Ph. No. 0832-2420179/2420071; E-mail: di*********@*ic.in. The entries must be sent in the prescribed “Application Form” along with all required documents. If proposed by an Institution/Organization, the proposal should be submitted on letter head with round seal and signed by an authorised signatory of the concerned institution.

 The prescribed application forms are available at the above mentioned address and the duly filled forms with enclosures have to be submitted  before 5.00 p.m on or before May 9,  2025 at the above address during office hours. Applications received after the last date, shall not be considered.
