In the last pre-quarterfinal match of the 18th Rebello Pandal Football Tournament, Dragon Boys Borda fought back to defeat Fatima Boys Baida Chinchinnim 5-4 at St. Rita Church ground, Maina Curtorim, on Tuesday, securing a spot in the quarterfinals.
Deral Rebello gave Fatima Boys an early lead with a brace in the 5th and 10th minutes, while teammates Sherino Gomes and Om Raikar added goals in the 20th and 48th minutes.
Dragon Boys Borda responded strongly with Ranzil and Myron each netting a brace in the 15th, 25th, 40th, and 45th minutes. The decisive moment came in injury time when Shubert scored the all-important match-winning goal in the 60+2 minute.
Lewiston Rebello of Fatima Boys Baida Chinchinnim was awarded the Man of the Match by Caitano Rebello for his spirited performance.
