Navelim Villagers Union secured a spot in the semifinal of the United Trophy by defeating United Club Verna 6-5 via tiebreaker at the Rosary Church Ground, Navelim, on Monday. Nash Pereira opened the scoring for Navelim with a well-placed header in the 28th minute. UC Verna equalised in the 59th minute through Desmond Pereira, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw at full time. In the ensuing tiebreaker, Verna converted through Clive Fernandes, Fulzacio Cardozo, Desmon Gama, and Josley Moniz. Navelim responded with successful strikes from Ronaldo Pereira, Meliston Dias, Aden Pereira, Vento Costa, and Velington Almeida.
