Captain of Ports has informed that in view of the River Discharge studies carried out by CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa and as per request received from the Scientist Ocean Engineering all vessels are cautioned to keep a sharp lookout, go slow and if necessary stop at safe distance so as not to cause any hindrance and strictly adhere to the on the spot instructions issued by the patrolling boat stationed at the site on the following days:
On July 14 and July 25, 2024 in River Terekhol at Querim about 100 m downstream of Aronda bridge; on July 15 and July 24, 2024 in River Zuari at Borim about 200m downstream of Borim bridge on Madgaon route; on July 15 and July 24, 2024 on River Chapora at Colvale, about 200m upstream of Colvale-Dargal bridge; and on July 16 and July 23, 2024 on River Mandovi at Panaji, Fisheries Jetty.
Violations of the above shall be viewed seriously.
