General Administration Department has appealed the Council of Ministers to visit the Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies of the Assembly Constituency under the ‘Panchayat Chalo Abhiyan’ during February 27, 28, 29 and March 1, 2024.
During the Abhiyan, Dr. Pramod Sawant will visit Panaji, Taleigao Constituency, Minister for Health, Shri Vishwajit P. Rane will visit Mormugao, Nuvem, Shiroda and Madkai, Minister for Transport, Shri Mauvin Godinho will be visiting to Calangute, Canacona, Pernem and St. Andre, Minister for Agriculture, Shri Ravi Naik will be visiting to Bicholim and Valpoi, Minister for Water Resources, Shri Subhash Shirodkar will be visiting to St. Cruz, Aldona and Sanvordem, Shri Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism will be visiting to Curchorem, Dabolim, Priol and Velim, Minister for Sports, Shri Govind Gaude will be visiting to Sanguem, Saligao, Curtorim and Cuncolim, Atanasio Monserrate, Minister for Revennue will be visiting ro Vasco, Margao and Maem, Minister for Power, Shri Ramkrishna Alias Sudin Dhavlikar will be visiting to Mapusa, Sankhali and Cortalim, Minister for Fisheries, Shri Nilkant Halarnkar, will be visiting to Fatorda, Ponda and Cumbharjua, Minister for Social Welfare, Shri. Subhash Phal Dessai, will be visiting to Poriem, Mandrem, Porvorim and Thivim and Minister for Law and Judiciary, Shri Aleixo Sequeira will be visiting to Navelim, Benualim, Quepem and Siolim.
Panchayat Chalo Abhiyan is aligned with Viksit Bharat @2047. Government of Goa has also planned its roadmap to contribute under the banner of ‘Viksit Goa’. The State of Goa aims to be a role model development in various fields like Economic Growth, Environment sustainability etc.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign was undertaken to raise awareness through outreach activities to achieve saturation of schemes of Government of India across the country.
It is imperative that the message of Viksit Bharat-Viksit Goa is propagated till the last man of the society. Monitoring the planning and implementation of the policies/programme which are intended for the beneficiaries is an important step in this process.
Accordingly, all Cabinet Ministers will visit and spend at least 01 day per Assembly Constituency for this purpose. During this visit, Minister will visit all the Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies of the Assembly Constituency under the ‘Panchayat Chalo Abhiyam’ and interact with the various stakeholders. Minister will also spend time for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at the residence of prominent persons in the area.
Every Minister visiting Assembly Constituency will ensure that he spares 3-4 full days from his busy schedule and visit the allotted Assembly Constituencies.
