Goan Reporter: USC Seraulim Edge Past Guardian Angel SC to Enter 17th St. Anthony Festival Cup Final

United Club Seraulim sealed their place in the finals of the 17th St. Anthony Festival Cup 2025 with a dramatic 6-5 win on penalties over Guardian Angel SC in the second semifinal held at the Moll Ground, Assolda, on Saturday. The match began at a slow pace due to persistent rain, and it wasn’t until the 25th minute that Klusner Pereira broke the deadlock for Seraulim. Guardian Angel SC quickly responded, with Jaison Dias equalising in the 31st minute. Both sides battled hard but remained locked at 1-1 until full time. In the decisive penalty shootout, Guardian Angel SC scored through Fedrich Fernandes, Godwin D’Costa, Ivo Costa, and Cyril Dias. USC Seraulim converted through Ashley Fernandes, Klusner Pereira, Flocio Fernandes, Oliver D’Souza, and Selney Fernandes to clinch the win. Klusner Pereira of USC Seraulim was named Man of the Match, awarded by Custodio Fernandes, president of Assolda Club. The grand final will see USC Seraulim face off against Margao Sports Club on Sunday, 10th August 2025, at the same venue.
