Panjim: December 12, 2025::The Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations of India (COSIDICI) is the National Federation of State Level Financial Institutions (SLFIs) which have been supporting MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) at state level over past 5 decades. “COSIDICI National Awards” have been instituted to recognize outstanding and meritorious performance by entrepreneurs in each state assisted by SLFCs. The units being awarded have been chosen from all over the country and were selected by a jury formed by the Executive Committee of COSIDICI. At the 11th COSIDICI Award function, hosted by Andhra Pradesh State Financial Corporation (APSFC) at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, COSIDICI honoured 55 – Entrepreneurs from across India, who started small but have achieved recognition in their chosen field and some of them have even become industry leaders today. Five Goan Entrepreneurs financed by EDC Limited received the COSIDICI National Awards at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on December 05, 2025, viz. Shri. Narainrao Santobarao Desai, (M/s. Desai Concrete Castings – Best First Generation Entrepreneur), Smt Gitanjali Desai and Shri.Govind Desai (M/s. Desai Beverages) and Shri. Prabhanjan Sadanand Parsekar, (M/s. Parsekar Foods) – Best Entrepreneurs, Dr. Shweta Shriram Khandeparkar – Best Woman Entrepreneur and Smt. Sweta Vishwaraj Mhalshekar (M/s. Siddhivinayak Occupational Health Services) – Best Unit in Service Sector. The awards were presented by Chief Guest, Shri Kondapalli Srinivas, Minister for MSME, SERP, NRI Empowerment and Relations, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The function was presided over by Dr. N. Yuvaraj, IAS, and Secretary to the Government (Industries and Commerce and Food Processing Department), Government of Andhra Pradesh, and Managing Director, APSFC. Shri B.S. Pai Angle, Managing Director, Shri Ashwin Kamat, CFO and General Manager and Shri John De Sousa, Dy. General Manager (Resources), participated in the award function on behalf of EDC Limited. Shri B.S.Pai. Angle, M.D EDC was also awarded a certificate for meritorious service, visionary leadership and lasting contributions to the growth and success of COSIDICI over the past 2 decades.
