Department of Fisheries invites applications for six months fisheries training course from October 1, 2026 at Fishermen Training Centre Ela Dhauji, Old Goa.

Candidates should submit the filled application forms at Fishermen Training Centre, Ela Dhauji on or before September 10, 2026.

Candidates having passed minimum VIIIth  Std. and between 18-35 year of age are eligible for admission. Preference will be given to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe candidates as well as youths from the fishing community having experience at sea.

The candidates admitted to the course will be paid stipend of Rs. 1000/- per month and Rs. 100/- per day as D.A. during fishing trips.

The course is meant for imparting training in fishing craft and gear, fundamental of Navigation & Seamanship, Maintenance & Operation of Marine Diesel Engine, Weaving and Mending of modern Nets, Seafood Value Addition & Marketing, Aquaculture, Aquarium making and Swimming.
