The Directorate of Tribal Welfare, has invited applications for the Atal Asra Yojana, a housing assistance scheme aimed at improving living conditions of Scheduled Tribe (ST) families across the state.
Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive financial assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh for the construction of a new house, reconstruction of an existing house. Assistance of up to Rs 3 lakh is also available for repairs to existing houses.
In a significant relief to beneficiaries, the annual income eligibility limit has been enhanced from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, enabling a larger number of ST families to avail benefits of the scheme.
Applicants are required to submit documents including an affidavit, house tax receipt, income certificate, ST certificate, Aadhaar card, ration card, bank passbook copy, photographs of the existing house, and other prescribed documents.
