Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant extended his warmest and heartiest greetings with best wishes to the people of Goa & Goenkars across the world on the auspicious and festive occasion of Deepawali.
In his message to the people of Goa, the Chief Minister said “Diwali, the festival of lights, is the most cherished celebration in our culture. Diwali marks the homecoming of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana and conquering Lanka. It symbolizes the eternal victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. On this day, we light diyas to welcome Lord Rama, rejoicing in the victory of good over evil. It is a festival that illuminates not just our homes, but also our minds with positive energy”.
CM Sawant further said, “The festival of Diwali brings families together, brightens our homes and fills our hearts with joy and hope. It is a time to share the happiness of the festive season with everyone. As we light diyas and exchange sweets, let us also light the lamp of compassion, brotherhood and unity in our society”.
“Goa has always been a shining example of harmony, peace and rich cultural heritage. On this Diwali, let us reaffirm our commitment to preserve this harmony and work together for Swayampurna and Viksit Goa. The Government of Goa is working for the welfare of every last person. On this sacred day, let us pledge to share our happiness with the less fortunate, support our local artisans and traders, and celebrate a safe Diwali,” CM added.
“On this beautiful occasion I wish peace, good health and prosperity to every family. May the glow of every diya bring new opportunities, the warmth of togetherness strengthen bonds and bring success. Let us celebrate the spirit of Diwali with love, care and a sense of responsibility towards our beautiful Goa. Wishing all a Cheerful, Safe and Prosperous Diwali,” CM concluded.
Happy Diwali !
