The District Magistrate, North Goa has prohibited digging of all types of roads, road shoulder / lanes or thoroughfares or a part thereof without the written permission of District Magistrate, North Goa.
The order is effected from June 3, 2026 and will remain in operation upto October 1, 2026.
The order has been issued following the digging of all types of roads or a part thereof which posing serious danger to the pedestrians, motor vehicles and the general public during monsoon season due to accumulation of water, skidding on the debris, electric shocks due to snapped electric wires, etc.
