Panjim: December 10, 2025::District Magistrate , North Goa has prohibited the use of bursting ignition or operation of fireworks, sparklers, pyrotechnic effects, flame thrower-type devices, smoke generators and similar fire/smoke-producing equipments inside tourist establishments including but not limited to nightclubs, bars and restaurants, hotels, guesthouses and resorts, beach shacks and temporary structures and event venues and entertainment establishments throughout North Goa. This prohibition applies to all organizers, banquet halls, private function venues, auditorium operators and indoor establishments, tourist establishments such as nightclubs, bars and restaurants, hotels, guesthouses et resorts, beach shacks and temporary structures and event venues and entertainment establishments. In exceptional cases, the District Magistrate (or an authorised officer) may grant prior written permission for indoor pyrotechnics, provided the applicant submits a detailed safety and risk-mitigation plan and all supporting documents required for safety compliance. This Order shall come into force with effect from December 10, 2025 and shall remain in operation for a period of 60 days (both days inclusive) unless withdrawn earlier Violation of this order is punishable under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
