The Directorate of Art & Culture in collaboration with the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC), Udaipur, successfully organised a drawing competition “Seva Parv” for school and college students as well as professional artists.
The competition received an overwhelming response from participants across the state with nearly 500 paintings submitted across various categories, reflecting the immense artistic talent and enthusiasm among students and professional artists in Goa.
The entries were judged by an eminent panel comprising Shri. Mahendra Chodankar, Smt. Rajashree Thakkar, and Shri Querozito De Souza.
The results of the drawing competition are the High School Category first prize (Rs. 10,000-: Ms. Lenza Silva Convent High School, Salcete, second prize (Rs. 5,000)- Ms. Falak Ansari Bethany Convent High School, Salcete and third prize (Rs. 2,500)- Ms. Sharany Karmali The New Educational Institute, Curchorem.
Consolation prizes (Rs. 1,000 each)- Ms. Dhanvi D. Tamse, G.V.M.’s Rajmata Padmavati Ra Soundhekar High School, Bandora, Ponda, Master Anshuman Vishwakarma-G.V.M.’s Rajmata Padmavati Raje Soundhekar High School, Bandora, Ponda and Ms. Ranjisha Gaonkar – PM SHRI Government High School, Morpirla
Degree College Category first prize (Rs. 25,000)- Ms. Sania Muzawar Government College, Khandola, second prize (Rs. 15,000)- Master Sam Shetkar P.E.S. College, Ponda, third prize (Rs. 10,000)- Ms. Pooja Jana VVM’s Shri Damodar College of Commerce.
Professional College Category first prize (Rs. 25,000)- Shri Amey Shetye, econd prize (Rs. 15,000)- Kum. Sankriti Naik and third prize (Rs. 10,000)- Shri Suraj Choudhari from Goa College of Art, Altinho, Panaji.
Professional Artists Category first prize (Rs. 1,00,000)- Ms. Manasi Mhamal Mandrem, Pernem, second prize (Rs. 50,000) – Shri Tanaji Shet -Surla, Bicholim and third prize (Rs. 25,000)- Shri Hitesh Pankar Mardol.
The date of the prize distribution ceremony for the winners will be announced shortly. The Directorate of Art & Culture will intimate the selected participants and institutions accordingly.
