The District Administration, South Goa has initiated the process for enrollment of Civil Defence Volunteers with the objective of strengthening community participation and preparedness for effective response during disasters and emergencies.
Civil Defence Volunteers will play an important role in assisting the District Administration and other response agencies in areas such as disaster preparedness, emergency response, evacuation, relief operations, public awareness and community resilience.
Citizens who are interested in serving the community as Civil Defence Volunteers are encouraged to enroll and contribute towards strengthening the disaster management and emergency response mechanism of the District.
Enrollment forms will be made available at the Office of the Superintendent of Police, South Goa District and Office of the Deputy Collector and SDOs of Salcete, Ponda and Mormugao.
Interested persons may collect the prescribed enrollment forms from the above-mentioned offices, duly filled with the required details and submit the completed form at the designated office.
