The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA), in partnership with PTC India Limited will host a day long State-Level Stakeholder Consultation on PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY), under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s City Accclerator Programme (CAP) on September 24, 2026 at Panaji, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The consultation will have participation of vendors, bankers, state nodal agency Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA), Goa Electricity Department (GED), urban local body representatives, RWA/Consumer representatives, and State Government dignitaries to review the progress of PMSGMBY and chart the way forward for accelerated rooftop solar adoption in Goa. Under the scheme, Goa’s installation base has grown from 1,249 in November 2025 to 3,802 as of September 2026, with installed capacity of 31.24 MW residential rooftop.
The day will also feature recognition of top-performing vendors and bankers and will conclude with a joint statement of action items for continued coordination.
