Considering the evolving global situation affecting international fuel supply chains, all Government officials and employees are requested to adopt measures aimed at reducing fuel consumption and promoting efficient use of transport resources.
The General Administration Department has issued a circular in view of the appeal made by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India regarding the importance of fuel conservation and responsible energy use and prefer the use of public transport for daily commuting, wherever feasible and convenient. Encourage and participate in car pooling arrangements among colleagues residing in nearby areas; Plan official travel judiciously and, wherever feasible, make use of virtual platforms for meetings and official interactions and ensure prudent and economical use of Government vehicles and transport resources.
