The Government has adopted the Telecommunications (Right of Way) Rules, 2024 for the State of Goa with effect from January 1, 2025.
Goa Waste Management Corporation (GWMC) has informed that all applications seeking Right of Way (RoW) permissions for telecommunications network infrastructure on property and infrastructure owned, controlled or managed by GWMC shall be processed strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Telecommunications (Right of Way) Rules, 2024 through online RoW Portal.
No property tax, levy, fees or duties shall be levied on telecommunication network installations as per Section 14(3) of the Telecommunications Act, 2023.No coercive action shall be taken against telecommunication network infrastructure, in compliance with Section 14(4) of the Telecommunications Act, 2023.No NOC shall be insisted upon for tower installations on private property, as per Rule 15(1) of the Telecommunications (Right of Way) Rules, 2024.
The designated RoW Nodal Officer of GWMC shall use the login credentials and access to the RoW Portal for processing and monitoring applications relating to property and infrastructure owned, controlled or managed by GWMC.
