Panaji: October 30, 2026
In a major initiative aimed at encouraging the use of public transport and providing greater benefits to regular commuters, the Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant during the Annual Day celebrations of Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) has announced an enhancement in the discount benefits offered through KTCL Smart Transit Cards.
With effect from November 01, 2026, the existing discount of 10% available on Smart Transit Card transactions will be increased to 20%, providing additional savings to passengers travelling on KTCL buses.
Further, as a special incentive to encourage regular and sustained use of public transport, Smart Transit Card holders who complete 250 days of travel within a year will become eligible for an enhanced discount of 30% on card usage as a Loyalty Bonus, upon completion of the year. This initiative is intended to reward regular commuters and encourage more people to adopt public transport as their preferred mode of travel.
To ensure that maximum commuters benefit from these enhanced facilities, KTCL will organise seven-day extensive Smart Transit Card enrolment and sale camps at major bus stands across Goa, namely Panaji, Mapusa, Sakhali, Margao and Ponda from November 02, 2026. These camps will facilitate passengers who do not presently possess a Smart Transit Card to conveniently apply for and obtain one. KTCL officials will also be available at these locations to assist commuters with the application and card issuance process. Commuters can also apply online at https://cashless.ktcl.goa.gov.in/
Through these initiatives, KTCL aims to make public transport more affordable, accessible and attractive to the people of Goa, while recognising and rewarding regular commuters who place their trust in the Corporation’s services.
