Panaji: February 20, 2026:The State Level Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Samaroh was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Farmagudi, Ponda, organized by the Department of Information and Publicity.
As part of the Shiv Jayanti celebrations, a Quiz Competition and All Goa Natya Pravesh Competition was organized. Schools and Colleges from different parts of Goa participated in the competitions giving it a enthusiastic fervor.
In the Quiz Competition, Apurva Shet and Riya Sawant of Goa University secured the first prize, followed by Mohit Talaulikar and Suyash Tanavade of Goa Engineering College in second place and Disha Kakodkar and Ashwita Gosavi of PES College, Ponda in third place. While Durva Prabhu Bhat Gaonkar and Shreeja Narvekar of V. M. Salgaocar College of Law and Shivangi Naik and Saniya Gaonkar of The Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law took the consolation prizes.
In the All Goa Natya Pravesh Competition, Anandibai M. Naik High School, Madkai won the first prize, Surashri Kesarbai Kerkar High School, Ponda secured the second position, and Wagle High School, Mangeshi stood third. Dr. K.B. Hedgewar High School, Ponda and Shree Mahalakshmi English High School, Talauli won the consolation prizes.
Shri Dipak Bandekar, Director, Department of Information and Publicity conferred the prizes to the winners which included cash prize and a certificate. Present at the function were Shri Pankaj Marathe, Joint Director, DIP; Shri Kiran Munankar, Information Officer, and Officials of Department of Information and Publicity.
