Panaji : January 06, 2026 :Directorate of Social Welfare has organized Mukhyamatri Dev Darshan Yatra Yojana, a State scheme envisages to provide one time travel assistance on pilgrimage in a life time to senior citizens to visit sacred holy places outside Goa as per the itineraries decided by the Government from time to time.This year i.e. 2025-26, 04 trips have been arranged in association with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (GTDC) to visit Vellankani and Ayodhya.The trip schedule  for Vellankani is on January 9, 2026, for Ayodhya is on January 19, 2026, January 26, 2026 and February 02, 2026.The pilgrimage will be sent under agency package as per MOU signed by the Government with agency appointed by Directorate of Social Welfare from time to time. The pilgrimage tour will be conducted for a group of not less than 750 persons who wish to visit the holy places as per itineraries decided by the Government from time to time or as per carrying capacity of the train whichever is lower.The age group to avail facility under the scheme of applicant/beneficiary should not be less than 50 years and should not be more than 70 years. One attendant shall be entitled to accompany the applicant free of cost. The applicant shall be physically and mentally sound to perform the journey and shall not be suffering from any communicable diseases like T.B., Heart diseases, Leprosy, COVID etc. and shall submit a Self Medical Certificate/Self Declaration on Web Portal/App. The applicant will submit a Self-Declaration stating that the applicant has not availed benefits under the scheme earlier. The applicants are required to apply online on the Web Portal/App developed by the Department/Agency appointed in this respect as per the requirement of the web portal/app www.yatraconnect.in. All eligible and interested citizens are requested to register on the above web portal/app at the earliest.
