Goan Reporter::SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION ON FEB. 1

Panaji : January 09, 2026 ::Goa State Council of Educational Research and Training has scheduled the examination for selection of students for award of Scholarships under ‘Science Talent Search Examination (STSE) for the academic year 2025-26 for the students of classes VIII, IX, X, XI and XII on February 01, 2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. The examination will be held in all 12 taluka centers for the academic year 2025-2026. The last date to submit nomination  of students for STSE 2025-26 by the heads of schools is January 14, 2026. The ‘Science Talent Search Examination (STSE)’ for award of scholarships was started in 2008-09 in collaboration with Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Porvorim for students of classes VIII, IX, X, XI and XII. The examination for selection of students for award of STSE scholarship is conducted every year by the Goa State Council Examination Research and Training (GSCERT), Alto Porvorim. A total of 200 scholarships @ Rs. 2,500/- each are awarded to the Meritorious students of classes VIII, IX, X, XI and XII based on their performance at the STSE every year from the State of Goa. The selection examination is conducted for the students while they are studying in classes VIII, IX, X, XI and XII.
